Niagara Pet Photography: Muddy Paws Wine Festival

Niagara Pet Photography: Muddy Paws Wine Festival

Okay, so this might be a little like shutting the barn door after the horse has bolted, but the horse isn’t completely out of the barn just yet…

Whacha doing tomorrow? Need a little inspiration? hmmm, let’s see, it needs to be dog oriented (duh) and preferably it should involve a little wine and some nibbles. But we all know that isn’t likely going to happen…or IS IT? This is the inaugural year of The Muddy Paws Wine Festival! The creation of Featherstone Estate Winery and Vineland Estates Winery to fill a void in Niagara’s Wine Country. There is nothing dog friendly to do in Wine Country 🙁

That is until now!

The two wineries, located in the Twenty Valley and situated on the Twenty Mile Bench, are rolling out the red carpet to well behaved canines and their humans the weekend of July 25th and 26th. They’ve even signed a dog walking trail on the escarpment that links the two wineries together. Brilliant. Now you can have your wine and drink it too – cause your best friend will be at your side!

Come for wine, food, live music, walkies, demonstrations by Jane Book‘s agility dogs (amazing!) and meet the National Service Dog puppies (sweeeeet). There will be a small marketplace (I’ll be there) and 4 cool contests each day of the Festival. Indigo Pet Photography will be providing an AWESOME prize for the winners of the tallest/shortest dog contest! I’ll be raising money for the National Service Dogs through a raffle for an Indigo Experience photo session. And YES! I’ll have cameras on hand and I’ll be snapping some fun event pics and will post afterwards to my Indigo facebook page too!

Get all the info here and I sure hope we’ll see you there!

Don’t miss the cooling pool at Featherstone if you get too hot, just look for Jack:
